Party

Well some of the time there is time to party and the guys that I usually hang out with during the partying time are here in the picture.

What you see if front you is a mix of european countries you have French, Norweigan, Portugise and Swedish. Good mix to hang out with when you have a beer or two after work on Fridays. The places we go to differ some but some regular places come to mind like Howl at the Moon, Cafe En Seine, Odeon and the local bars around where we all live. I guess you might ask yourself who all these people are and what can I sau just find one of use and ask away.

Jameson

Just thought I would write and tell you all what I have been doing here in Ireland I have some fun pictures as well. I hope you all like it.

Went to the Jameson Distillery, which was a lot more fun than I thought it could ever be maybe because of the amount of free stuff to drink. If you ever have the opportunity to go to Dublin you should make the effort to go to this place. For more information about it here is where you can find it:http://www.jamesondistillery.ie/

So what you see here is the famous Jameson menu which you will get to try if you are one of the lucky four (2 men & 2 women). These people get the opportunity to try five different alcoholic beverages. Among the different beverages you have Burbon, different James whiskeys' and Scottish whiskey. Even if you are not very knowledgable about whiskey you will still notice the differences between the different samples.

Christmas Rush and airports

Sitting here at the London airport and reflecting on how the world has evolved over the last couple of years. How Sweet isn't it to be able to just turn on your laptop and have the world at your fingertips thanks to wireless Internet. I am flying back from Dublin to Sweden to celebrate Christmas and I have about 3 or so hrs to kill before my connecting flight leaves, so what to do? WWW is what to do, write on your blog read and reply to some overdue email and just watch people from around the world come together at one place. For this entry I will share with you all some airport info, what there is to do at them and which ones to avoid if possible.

Stockholm -- Well it is not one of the bigger ones, it has what you need the regular duty/taxfree stores and because of its size it is pretty easy to get around. Have been fortunate enough to having all my flight from there being on time (knock on wood).

Copenhagen -- Feels really new and easy to navigate through, there are enough shops to get all the normal things that you want to get from the airport. The one thing that I do remember is all the smoke even though there is/were places where people could smoke it is/was really hard to find a place that did not smell like smoke.

SeaTac/Seattle Tacoma -- Pretty boring not a whole lot of shops for people to kill some time at and the ones they had were not at the gates I was fortunate to leave from. The defend the airport it is/was going through some major changes so hopefully it will have more things to do while waiting for your flight.

London Heathrow -- HUGE that is the first thing that came to mind but for being so big it sure is easy to get around the terminals and gates are easy to find because of the many bright colored signs. What else I thought was a big plus the free samples of alcohol yummy good way to keep the travelers happy. I had two different shots one consisted of some fancy vodka and cranberry juice, the other one had coffee liqueur, Bailey's and Absinth. The Absinth was of the weaker kind only 55% or so, while there are other ones that are closer to 70%.

Dublin Here I am

I have kind of settled in and getting to know how most things work here as they are quite different from other places I have lived. The food or should I say beer here is really expensive I would say that some of the things here are close to or even more expensive than in Hawaii, and in Hawaii have the weather at least. So what does Dublin have going for it THE PEOPLE! The people here are really friendly and outgoing.

It is strange how easy you can take things for granted. (O realize this can sound really lame but here goes)

Water - How does the water quality differ from countries and parts of the world.
Sweden - Great quality water tastes good and no harm comes from drinking it directly from the faucet. One word to describe it is pureness and GOOD TASTE

Seattle - The watertastes like chlorine and but it is safe to drink. One word to describe it CHLORINE.

Hawaii - Just GREAT water, what could possible be wrong with water which has been filtered through lava rocks and other good stuff. The only thing that you coule possible complain about is that it is hard to get cold water from the faucet, but you always have the ice from the automatic ice-maker in your freezer. One word to describe it HAWAII PURE.

Dublin - I would describe it as close to Seattle water yep there you go chlorine. I have heard that it might not be the cleanest of water. One word to Desribe it ? Crappy stuff, drink it fast so you don't have to taste the flavor of it.
